Updated 12/29/2011...new container and bags!

This box is one of 4 boxes placed in West Pensacola near Big Lagoon State Park on Gulf Beach Highway in West Pensacola. Find all four boxes and visit four fun playgrounds. Wonderful for the kids! Bring snacks, sunscreen and water and have fun at each unique park!

Take Gulf Beach Hwy to Perdido Kids Park (Turn right on Old Gulf Beach Hwy from the State Park OR continue on Gulf Beach Hwy if you are coming from LBox #1 or #2).
Fantastic Park built in 2000 by the community!

On the outside of the park you will see a Nature Trail built by a local scout group. Travel approximately 125-140 paces (teen-adult) or 1/3 of the way in (stay on your left). You will see a small path offset by a small oak tree on the right. You will pass three picnic tables to get to this point.
Turn right onto the path and walk about 20 feet and you will see a sand pit. Go around the left side of the sand pit and follow the path until you see the hidden lake!
The brush has grown a lot over the past 4 years!
Follow the main path on the left that travels close to the upper edge of the lake. Most of it is dried up now but several years ago it was FULL!
Continue along the left until the path forks. Go left and take the second path on the right. You will be walking along a trail with an overgrown field on both sides.
Approximately 35 paces look to your right into the brush and you will see two old tires. Look up and see the three pine trees. One has a diameter of about a foot..to its right see the skinny tree & two feet to the left is a small baby pine. Your letter box is at the base of the larger pine tree in the middle.
Kick your feet and watch the brush since it quite overgrown now. We flattened it out a bit but I'm sure in Spring and Summer it'll grow back.

Please resecure the bag and cover it up a bit so others don't find it.

You may continue around the entire lake to circle back to the sand pit and back to the playground.
The scout trail also continues on a litte ways and comes out in the back of the parking area.
Water fountains, bathrooms, some shade and lots of picnic areas can be found here.
