The Tree by the 5th tee letterbox is located on the Disc (Frisbee) Golf Course at Panthorn Park in Southington. To find the entrance to the park, Follow I-84 West through Southington, take Meriden-Waterbury Rd. exit 28 (route 322). At the end of the ramp turn right. Go to the next light and turn left onto Ruggles Row. ~ From I-84 East take the Meriden-Waterbury Rd. exit 28 (Route 322). At the light, go straight across to Ruggles Row. Go to the Stop sign, turn left onto Burritt Street. Go over the I-84 overpass, continue downhill about ΒΌ mile and the entrance to Panthorn Park is on the right. Drive into the park passing the maintenance buildings, past the playground and pond. Continue past the tennis courts and up the hill where there are more baseball fields. Turn left and follow this road to the soccer field. Turn left again and follow this road to a parking area under the power lines. Turn right and ahead of you at the end of this parking area find a red bulletin board. This is the entrance to the Disc Golf course. The first tee to hole #1 is on your right. The Tree by the 5th tee is located on the fairway of the 5th hole. After finding the 5th tee look ahead of you and you will see a large fallen tree. This fallen tree is located 36 paces or (72 steps) from the tee pad. At the left side of the fallen tree is the root ball and at the right side you will see a stump of a different tree where the fallen tree rests. On the opposite side of this stump there is a hole near the ground where the Tree by the 5th tee rests
