BOX REPORT MISSING 12/01/13

This box was planted as part of the Louisiana Border Initiative. It is Box 2 in a series of 7 commemorating the Seven Days of Creation.

Water and Sky is near water, of course, in this case Lake Gladewater in Upshur County.
In Gladewater, travel 1.7 mi west from the intersection of Broadway and Main (Hwys 80/271). Just past Rodeo Stadium at the flashing yellow light, turn right on Rodeo Dr. Follow the signs to Lake Gladewater, turning right at Gay, left at Pinecrest, and left at West Lake into City Park. Follow the road to the right around to the boat ramp, passing picnic tables on the right and an open field and volley ball court on the left. Pass the toilets and continue around until you see the green Scouting building. Park here, facing the lake and the walk bridge across the inlet.

Look around until you see the Native American chief perched on the stump. Cross the short bridge beyond the chief, up the hill. When the cement walk ends, continue straight at 20° to the 2nd picnic table. Face the table with the lake on your right and look to the right toward two small (thin) trees growing together. Beyond those trees is another double trunk tree surrounded by a holly bush. Your treasure is nestled at the base of the tree under a brick.

Enjoy the contents. If you desire, read more about this day in Genesis 2:6-8. Rehide well and secure with the brick so the water doesn’t flow away.
