The Winsted Old Burying Ground was first used in 1800. It is located at the corner of Grove St. and Rt. 8. There is a purple house on the corner which is hard to miss. There’s a pull-in on Grove where you can park or you can pull into the circular drive off Rt 8. From Rt 8 it’s not real obvious that there’s a cemetery there but you might see the big rock with flags in the center of the drive.
Go to the back where the high wall meets the low wall. Look next to the pink rocks. When you’re done, don’t push the “box” in too far but cover it well. Beware of dogs and people in the houses above.
