This is one in a series of boxes planted in the state game lands of eastern Pennsylvania. If you seek this box, please be aware of hunting seasons. I recommend wearing blaze orange any time of year. I don't recommend seeking this box during deer season, except on Sundays.
State Game Lands 205 is in Lehigh County, just west of the T rexler-L ehigh G ame P reserve. To get to the correct parking lot:
* From PA-309, head SOUTH on Kistler Road for about 2.5 miles. If you see signs saying "NO OUTLET," don't worry about them. As of early 2008, there is a bridge closed on Kistler Road, but it won't affect this journey.
* Turn RIGHT onto WARDEN ROAD. It's a dirt road, but you won't be on it long.
* Drive past two small ponds on the right. Turn left at the white silo.
* Park near the Bat House.
Clues:
* Walk to the Bat House.
* About seven paces east of La Casa de la Bat, a grassy road heads south. Take this road.
* At the fork, go LEFT slightly downhill.
* A huge field appears on your left. You'll start seeing pine trees, and the trail will level off.
* Shortly after a curve to the right, watch for a large V-tree on the right, almost on the trail.
* From this large V-tree, 325* 8 paces to a single darker-barked tree leaning slightly toward the creek.
* Thence, 350* 13 paces to a tall deciduous tree with a thick poison ivy vine. (Careful!)
* SPOR on the west side of the tree.
Please rehide well.
