A Dinosaur has been found in Damascus! (actually, he's relocated and gotten a face-lift!:)

He is not very big, but he is very cute!
He was made and placed by our 9-yr-old; his first box.

He can be found at the Damascus Regional Park, on Kings Valley Road, off Route 27 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD.

This is a great path to take the bikes on!
There are also three other boxes in this area: Tommy the Turtle, Damascus Dragon and Damascus Dolphin.

For the Dinosaur: As you pull into the park entrance where you see the three tall steel spikes sculpture, park near to the playground. Or, in spring, summer and fall when the soccer fields are open, you can drive around further in the back and park near the gated overflow parking area and start there.

From the overflow parking area, keep going on the paved path a short distance until you reach the yellow pole at the top of a hill.

Go down this hill but do not go around the first corner; instead take the 1st paved path on your right.

Continue down this path, winding this way and that, for about 1/4 mile....

Before the path takes a SHARP curve to the right, you should see a large flat-top rock off the left side of the path. Get to the rock by going up a little natural clearing to the left of the rock and come at it from the side. There, buried under some logs, is our dinosaur!

NOTE: he is very vain and likes to see himself in the mirror so he can read his name better and see his new face!

(Hopefully this home will be better than his first home, from which he was rudely evicted by some wild animals; however, he may have been in their home by accident!)

Please rehide under the logs as this can be a busy little path.
