This box is located in the Double Lake Recreational Area of the Sam Houston National Forest. There are several boxes in this park. I had a dog-gone good time the weekend I planted this box. I hope you'll have one, too.

After you 've paid your admission fee, drive around to the picnic/swimming area. Find a place to park, then head out on the Lake Shore Trail next to the lake, keeping the lake on your left. You will come to the Lone Star Trail on your right. Take the right path, and at the LST marker, turn right again. Take this trail to a star-like junction.

At the junction, take the trail immediately to the left until you come to the Bike Trail. Turn around and go back 9 steps in the direction you came.

Look to your right. About 6 steps off the trail is a stump. Go to the stump and stand in front of it. Looking past the stump, a bit farther into the woods, you will see a very long downed tree that breaks in the middle. To the left of the break are 2 trees that are touching the log. The box is between the tree on the left and the log.

Please re-hide well.
