This Box is named after our favorite "eye doctor", who currently lives in San Antonio.
The box is in McAllister Park in north San Antonio. Many bike/hike/playground and sporting opportunities here. It is a 5 minute walk to this box.
To find box: Come in park off Jones Maltsberger Rd. and drive past the first playground (on left)to a T in the road. Turn left and follow road until you see ball fields on the right. Just as you are passing the ball fields you will see a parking lot for a picnic/playground area on the left. Park here.
Walk to the playground, then walk strait past it on an unpaved "trail" about 50 yards until you see a sign that says "trail" and a large rock shaped like a coffin. Keep going in that same direction, passing the "coffin". About 50 strides past the "coffin" there is a large oak on the right. Loop around behind this tree to find the letterbox hidden under rocks in its roots. Prod the crevice with stick for safety.
