O-H…I-O

As a homage to the days of moveable type and writing, I've decided, as a writer, to place letterboxes that contain words.

Don’t forget to bring your ink pad as you look for this letterbox in the Briggs-Kettner East Side Park in Fremont, Ohio. Located on the East Side of Fremont, the county seat of Sandusky County, Ohio, you will reach East Side Park by traveling on Route 20. From the East, look for the Dairy Queen on your left. From the West, make sure you cross over the Sandusky River and proceeding to the East Side of town. Continue up the hill, and again, your landmark will be the Dairy Queen, located at the corner of East State Street, and St. Joseph St.

Turn down St. Joseph Street and continue straight all the way to the park entrance. By the way, the park is named for two police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

You will find OH-IO in the base of one of the trees in the park. Okay, okay…so there’s several hundred trees there. I’ll make it easier for you… OH-IO can be found in the base of one of the trees that is located closer, rather than farther away from the railroad tracks. Happy letterbox hunting!
