On your way to Twelve Foot Falls you will pas a lake to your right. In the summertime it is filled with lily pads. Just before the lake there is a vehicle trail. Pull in here just off the road. This is where you begin.

Continue walking down this trail it is not wide for very long. Make your way over the uprooted tree and continue walking on the path. It’s not too important which critter path you take right now, just continue following the contour of the lake. Following the lake around the bend, listen to the frogs sing loudly to your left. Look ahead, there is a bluff across the inlet; behind is the lake. Walk on the critter path nearest the water’s edge. On your way to being across from the bluff, you will pass beaver stumps. There are two together on your right. The rotten logs now lead the way.

Seek the cluster of trees that grows among the pines. One trunk grows along the ground, covered in moss, creeping toward the water, and then reaches up to the sky. Now with the bluff directly across from you, look near the base of this curious, moss coved tree. The horizontal trunk protects your treasure.

(Other boxes in immediate area: Twelve Foot Falls and Crooked Tree.)
