Oak Grove Nature Center trails are where you will find this first attempt at letterboxing. Park in the lot and proceed to walk past the large display sign. Follow the blue blaze trail along the stream and go down the stairs and over the covered bridge. This is very scenic to the pond. We have seen a watersnake relaxing in the leaves on the edge, lots and lots of turtles on the logs in the water, herons, swans and mallards, beautiful moss covered banks...cross over the 5 sectioned "bridge" and stop and build a fairy house in the large hollow of the tree you will see just to the left once over the "bridge" if you have time! Once you have walked by the fairy house hollow in the tree you will walk away from the reservoir and toward the pines. You will see a brook down over the embankment to your left. You can see it off and on for a while. Once you notice the brook look for a tree about 5 inches in diameter that overhangs like a half a rainbow from your left. A large tree is on the right across from it with a large root sticking out of the ground. Take about 7 steps forward to the next lone tree on the left and turn left onto a little used path leading toward the brook and slightly downhill. Cross over the fallen branch and follow it to the left where you will see a large tree with an orange/brown hued stone mostly in the ground behind it. Here is Hansen and Chance's (Dragonfly Catchers!)first letterbox!
