This box was planted in conjunction with the Louisiana Border Planting Initiative.
We planted this box on Mothers Day, just for fun. We spent the day letterboxing and thought that since we were here that this park could use one more.
It is in Synergy Park, in Kilgore.
Directions: From I-20, take exit 589 S to Kilgore.Take 259 South, Go 1.9 miles to Synergy Park, on the left.
Take the first left and park in the lot, go to the trail head, take the gravel path to the right, you will see a pier that goes out on the water for fishing. Go to pier and stand at the entrance, face the water, turn to the left. Walk 16 steps to a pine tree with an oak tree just on its water side, there are several little nooks here, Summer Days is hidden in a nook in the pine tree. this is a small box. Please rehide well. I have had a report of ants in this area, so please use caution.
While you are here look for Elder House Fireplace and Kilgore Oil by Blue Butterfly.
