Sandy Knoll County Park
Directions:
HWY 45 to West Bend, exit Hwy 33,
east on HWY 33, North on Trenton Road,
East on Wallace Lake Road.
Park is just on your left.
It's a lovely county park with
a swimming pond.
Approx. 1.2 miles
Contact gerhardfive@att.net if any problems with the box.
Park in the Shelter #3 lot.
Head across the road to where the trails begin.
Follow the path "straight" into the woods.Cross the bubbling brook. Walk past the bench and pass by the bearded tree. (Although on inspection this spring "he" has had a shave!!!His whiskers are at the bottom.)
Follow along the path till you come to a "T". Don't stop to rest, head the other way.
At the next opportunity take a left and stroll through the meadow until you come to another "T". Don't get lost stay on the "right" path.
Follow along till the next "T". Turn left and take 25 paces. Look for the baby tree hugging the mommy tree to find the Mothers Day box.
