PAFFARD WOODS #2

(Note:) - #1 BOX now has a new stamp, you may want to go back & add this to your log-book, if you've been to #1!!)

GET DIRECTIONS from PAFFARD WOODS #1 - Stonington, CT

#2: - Starting from the sign, go underneath the wire & come to the "Y", NOW,.. you're going to go LEFT this time.

Follow this trail for awhile, starting on a easy - curvy, downhill hike. Soon you will reach a spot that seems like a "MINE FIELD" in the path. Keep going,... your path will eventually start heading uphill amongst MANY large trees, with "Blue Blazes even"!! As soon as you reach the the top, the path starts heading down hill. CONTINUE. Come to a major dead Oak (maybe 2 in line) in the middle of the path. You'll know you're at the right one, because there is a white oak with a blue blaze right behind it on the path. This "Dead Oak" leads downhill to a "Rocky Swamp". At the end of this dead tree,.. LOOK! There's a HUGE RED OAK staring you in the face, amongst the rocks, in the swamp/riverbed. On the "Westerly" side of the tree, Your prize awaits underneath a FEW "PLACED ROCKS" behind this "Mammoth" oak.

Please Re-seal baggies & hide in original spot.
