Note: I'm pulling whatever remains of this series to do repairs, replacement, etc. I'll try to have things back in place by autumn.

Note: The Africa box is reported missing with debris retrieved.

This series of boxes is planted in the part of the world where I spent my single and low-two-digit years of life. I may live a hundred miles away now, but I still consider Creve Coeur Park and surrounding woods part of my home.
I’ve hidden the world around this park. More specifically, I’ve hidden the seven continents… oh, and one “lost” continent. You can probably find all seven boxes on a good day’s outing. Most of the sites are suitable for sure-footed kids, but there are some steep spots. One in particular is noted as including an especially steep bit.
The main boxes are in three regions of the park so I’ve divvied the clues into three parts. The clues should be descriptive enough that you can plan out your expedition to find them all with minimal backtracking.
Along the way, you’ll encounter trees and birds and even some local history. You may also encounter snakes and poison ivy (although much less than I remembered) and mosquitoes. We found a 5-foot snake skin on the bonus box plant. I’m not sure it was the whole snake either…
Oh, regarding that “lost” bonus box… It’s got a different challenge to it. You probably won’t get it on your same outing unless you happen to have special resources available and a lot of luck on your side. You’ll also need the “Bonus Codes” from each of the main stamps. Because the bonus stamp is significantly more challenging, I’ve given it a listing to itself.
Some resources you may find handy…

Google Map centered on the “Trolley Trail”: Here
Park information: Here
Also, I found this document handy insofar as reaching concessions between my memory and historical fact when describing some of the sites. It won’t really help you with your quest, but it’s an interesting historical overview: Here
Oh, yeah… one of my steps is about 3 feet; maybe an inch or two shy.

Note: these clues were updated on 6/8 to correct one
directional error and to provide clarification in details.

-----Asia-----
The various histories of Asia include many episodes of neighboring countries encroaching on each other leading to epic animosities. To find your own Asian conquest, you’ll head toward the part of the upper park which is most encroached upon by suburbia. While there were just “the woods” when I was a kid, there are now homes visible through the trees. Follow Streetcar Lane all the way into the park until it splits by a playground forming a one-way loop around the playground and a sparsely wooded area. The loop curves down hill. When it begins climbing back up the hill, find the northern-most parking lot (first lot on the right when heading up the hill). It'll have a sign that says "Pull-in parking Only" at its bottom edge. From there, head into the trees (passing to the right of a large walnut tree between the lot and the treeline) on a small trail (guarded by a leaning/fallen tree at the time of writing). After some 32 snakes from the tree line, you should encounter a giant tree off the right side of the trail with astonishingly thick vines hugging it. From that tangled monster, head 70 degrees 12 steps to a tree which, while it doesn’t contain the treasures of Rome or secret Kremlin papers, does contain the box.

-----Africa-----
Southwest from Asia, you are sure to find Africa. From the lot where you started your Asian trek, continue along the road until you reach the first parking area on the right side of the road after passing the (un-identified) shelter. It's not quite to the playground. At the tree line near this lot, find a barely noticeable trail to the west. The trail can be very hard to spot... I had trouble finding it a month after placement, as greenery had exploded. You can find the trail by standing on the southwest corner of the lot and sighting 220 degrees to a tall, narrow Y-shaped tree guarding the trailhead. 30 steps down the trail from the first large tree of the tree line, find two trees very close together on the right edge of the trail. They are similar in thickness… not like two earlier close-together trees you’ll pass where one’s a hippo to the other’s gazelle. From the tree pair, face 274 degrees to see the remains of a large dead (but still vertical) tree. In one of the holes at the base of the tree you’ll find the whole of Africa.
