~Another terrific Eagle Scout has finished a great project for the town of Hebron, and others to enjoy! The Old Town Pound has been restored to its former glory!

The Old Town Pound was originally used for various livestock that had wandered into town. The cows, sheep, goats etc. would be put in the enclosure until the owner arrived to retrieve it.

Well, sometimes the animals were not claimed for various reasons ;-)
If you go to the Old Town Pound located on Chestnut Hill Road just off of route 66, you can decide if you want to take the lone animal there home with you, or not 8-)

Stand in the opening, where the gate will eventually be added, looking in. Turn left, and walk along the wall, on the outside. At the corner, turn right and walk eight steps. Look midway up in the wall behind the stump there to find this cute little guy.

Please be very considerate, as a lot of work was put into rebuilding this piece of history.

Have Fun!
Flutterby~
