These have been reported missing. I know some of the original landmarks are changed but I haven't been able to check on the boxes. I got over there today (5/1/10) but it was so crowded we couldn't even park.

Directions: Laidlaw Park is on Merrow Rd. Heading east on Rt.44, take your second left after the Rt 31 south cutoff. This will be North River Rd. At the fork, go right on Goose and then right again on Merrow. The park entrance will come up pretty quickly on your right. Park where you can.

Clues: From the entrance to the baseball diamond, look for the spider. Don’t worry, it won’t bite so head over there. Then walk on a heading of 63◦ to the big tree. There is a smaller tree to its right and to the right of that are some rocks. The box is in there. Cover well when you’re done. [I've been told the "spider" is no longer there. Try starting from the entrance to the ball field. One of these days I'll get back over there and check things out.]

Now, go back to the sign to the right of the baseball field entrance. (As of 7/2/08, I've been told the sign is gone so just go to the right of the field entrance.) I know it says to take out what you take in but… Walk northerly along the tree line to a rock in the grass with a bush by its side. Look toward the wall for a tree with 6 ½ trunks. Look at the 3rd rock to the right for the box. Thanks to Bunny Butt for carving this one.

You probably should bring some bug spray if you’re particularly susceptible to bites.

Reduce, reuse, recycle – I’ve received many comments lately about the types of boxes I use. Use your imagination, look around you and especially in the trash. You’ll probably find many things that could be used as “boxes”.
