This letterbox is to honor our nephew, Tom, who graduated from UMass today, May 24, 2008. Congratulations, Tom, and all the best in all you do!

Park in the parking area for the Amethyst Brook Conservation Area on Pelham Road across from Ward Street (this is part of the Robert Frost Trail). It is .7 miles from the light at Main St/Pelham Rd and SEast/NEast Street.

Walk to the entrance of the trail where you'll pass signs for the Robert Frost Trail. Continue on the path over a tiny brook and through open fields for about 3 minutes until you reach a fork at the Community Gardens.

Take the right fork, keeping the Community Gardens on your left.

At the next fork at the end of the Community Gardens, take the left fork into pine woods. Stay on the path, keeping the stream on your left (the path will veer right away from the stream, but keep on the path).

Walk for about 5 minutes on this path until you get to a 12-ish foot plank bridge. Cross the bridge and stand on the end. Look toward "2 o'clock" where you'll see three stumps. Go to the middle stump. You'll find a "nest" of sticks at the base, and that's where you'll find our congratulations to Tom!

Please be sure to hide the box carefully. And enjoy!
