From Route 4, Turn onto Locust Road. Pass the Fairgrounds, take third right onto Laurel Road. Go all the way to the end passing Reservoir Road on the left. You will see a sign for the Litchfield Hills Audubon Society's Kalmia. Across from a white house, there is a small parking area. If it’s full, there’s a second parking area a bit farther up along a rooted driveway. Allow just about an hour round trip.

Pass throught the gate and take the trail to the left. While out letterboxing at Roarback I decided to do some planting. So I walked and walked and prepared to planted when I realized that SOME THING WAS WATCHING ME. So I continued down the trail until I came to a large boulder on the right side of the trail. From the back side of this boulder I walked due south to an even larger boulder. from here site 340 and walk 17 paces to a fallen. About 10 ft down the fallen and hidden in the bark is my happy place.

Please rehide well making sure that it cannot be seen from the top or bottom because a trail does pass above it. Thanks
