Clues: Easy
Terrain: Drive up, very easy
Total Time: appx 1 minute to find once you drive there.

Not much of a story, just a fun camping spot that Heidi's family frequents! There are several other boxes in the area such as the ones at Bear Hill WMA. Note: This box is NOT in the Campground which is private property and requires payment of a visitor's fee to enter!

Directions:

From Norwich: Route 2 west to exit 23 (Bozrah/Rte 163). Left off the exit, back under the highway. Straight through the stop signs following the signs for Odetah Campground.

From Colchester: Route 2 east to exit 23. Left at end of exit, following signs to Odetah.

Clues: On the approach to Odetah, you will cross a narrow bridge and see several campsites on the south sind of the road, across the pond. Continue straight past the Odetah Campground sign that is built into a large retaining wall. Just left of the sign (or past the main entrance) there is a red fire hydrant. Park past the fire hydrant on the side of the road. From the hydrant walk 15 paces at 50 degrees to the start of the metal guardrail. Now turn 90 degrees to your right and see a three sistered tree (arguably 4 sistered if you count the low off-shooting limb!). The prize you seek is on the back side of the tree under some sticks n stones. Please stamp in and rehide carefully!!!

Additional note: We wanted to place this box within the park, but we want the box accessible to all without fees, hassle, etc. If you do enjoy camping, this is a neat place to spend a weekend at...we especially enjoy the new mini-golf course!!!
