Start at the Nature Center in Rock Creek Park. Proceed down the Edge of the Woods Trail. Walk by a sign by a big gree that says "Giants of the Forest." Go past a black bench on the left side of the path. Find a handicapped sign on the left of the trail and veer left off the paved path onto a dirt path. Go down the hill on the bath. Find the broken/burndt sign on the right and keep walking towards the left as the path curves. Pass another broken/burned sign and proceed to a broken post with five screws on top. At the post look behind it to the right for a big tree that has a big bottom trunk that splits into two trunks. Walk to that tree. From the tree go slightly left for 27 steps uphill to a very tall fallen tree. The box is around the fallen tree.
