This Letterboxing Adventure Series has been retired, archived etc. Tho' some of the boxes may be found until I can arranged for them to be picked up. Thanks for playing along.

Boxes that are missing or have been picked up.
# 1 at Cougar Gulch
#2 Black Bay Park

This series was made for Snakeboy.
When he was diagnosed with diabetes -at age 5. I bought us the Book by the same name as this LB series. And like Phoebe of "Friends" fame I will say "That book got me through some tough times."
These LBs were planted in Commemoration of his Graduation in 2008. There are 12 stamps in the series. One for each of his years in school.

To do this series of letterboxes you may need,
A compass for some
Time to travel
A camera maybe be fun
And of course your letterboxing stuff.
Most of these letterboxes have markers and a pen in them. All are hitchhiker friendly.
Hope you enjoy the journey as much as I do.
God bless and God speed. ~Sondog

My letterboxes:
If you find one and it is in disrepair, in "bad" shape -Please simply notify me. I prefer to do my own repairs and/or replacements. Thanks.

Oh Yes! Now for the Clues
to get you to the prize
you greatly deserve for using your head,
your feet and your eyes.

Park and go hiking in this wonderful place.
You can choose to go right
or You can choose to go left.
It's more fun in the day than it is in the night.

It may or may not matter which way you choose.
Except in the distance or maybe the time
The trail makes a big loop.
Your choice may be a crime.

"Oh, the Places You'll Go!"

As you travel the trail
Read all of the signs
You looking for Protecting the Forest's Water
While Managing Pines (o.k. Timber, but it doesn't rhyme)

On the trail below this sign
but not quite to the creek
under some logs
is the prize that you seek.

There are also some rocks
placed on top to conceal.
You'll find it I'm 98 3/4 percent sure.
For Real!

Now for these Clues!
to get you to the prize
you greatly deserve for using your head,
your feet and your eyes.

After decoding the area you need to go to
Park your vehicle in the vehicle place.
Travel the asphalt trail bearing 170
But not at a break neck pace.

You won't lag behind,
because you'll have the speed.
You'll pass a whole gang
and you'll soon take the lead.

Whatever you do,
watch for snatchers and freeps.
This is a busy park
Some jump in the river with leaps.

Stay Right! Stay Right!
The asphalt won't fail.
There is just one place
you will change from this trail.

Look for the info sign that tells of the Spokane River.
Rocks border the head of the way you should take.
A turn off the asphalt
you will have to make.

As soon as this path seems
to lose its way.
Stop in your tracks
and attention you must pay.

Two trees to the right
Four more to the left.
Turn to the right
you will need to be deft.

At 14 steps from the two trees
are two more
14 steps from these two trees
you find one more.

At the base of this one tree
under the rocks you will find
the prize that you seek
So don't lose your mind.

Out here things can happen
and frequently do
to people as brainy
and footsy as you.

And when things start to happen,
don't worry. Don't stew.
Just go along with it.
You'll start happening too.

And you're feet if you choose
Start at the Trail Head
And shake off those Blues!

You'll look up and down the trails
Look 'em over with Care.
Find your way to the Stage.
The hunt will start there.

Head straight down a path
in back of this place.
It will meet up with the main trail.
Go steady this isn't a race.

Keep Left! Keep Left!
at almost each possible choice.
Just go along
You'll start to rejoice.

OH! The Places You'll Go!

I'm sorry to say so
but, sadly, it's true
that rubber obstacles
can be there to trip you.

Keep pushing on
and go over all these.
Then follow the path
with a wood one Please!

You'll make it soon
at two places to sit,
and a Lake View to Boot!
Sit facing towards it.

You may get confused
about this wonderful wild space.
Just have a nice sit
in this Waiting Place.

Now look to your surroundings
to see what to do.
Is there a small path
just beckoning you?

Follow it down toward the lake
past an old fence post, No two!
They lay on the ground
among some wires. Boo Hoo!

Watch your step here.
And don't get pulled in.
The wires are barbed.
They are not your kin.

See the Tree to your left
So large and so tall.
At it's base is the prize.
Just waiting for all.

And will you succeed?
Yes! You will, Indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed!)
Kid, You'll move rocks!

Oh, Yes, by the way.
These rocks are sticky
On your hands they want to stay.
Gloves my be nice, sorry they're so icky

Take heed of your surrounds

to keep from freezing your "hinny"

Don't stop here now.

Before the big snow;-)

Follow the broad trail
never leaving it's way.

"Oh, the Places You'll Go!" Letterbox 6
Muntford Experimental Forest,Coeur d'Alene, Idaho east to Fernan Saddle to Windy Ridge, to Deception Creek, to Muntford Experimental Forest in the Panhandle National Forest.

You're off to a Great Place!
You're off and away!
It will be worth every step
Awesome is the theme of the day!

This place is hard to describe.
So, You'll have to go see.
It has become a favorite
place for me.

At the place to park
there will be a sign
that tell of the reason
this place is so fine.

From this sign it is hard
to see the trail.
Travel to the right of the sign
and beyond a big log that fell.

I will try my best to tell
you how to find
the prize in this place
without losing my mind.

The terrain is so simular,
it's is hard to express,
landmarks to tell you
so you won't have to guess.

So, follow this trail
among the giants that stand tall.
And follow this trail
among the giants that fall.

Stay to the left of the fork
and follow the trail easterly.
Travel over and around
the obsticles that can be beasterly.

The trail does start swinging
towards a dark valley.
You will need to start upward.
Step lively, don't dalley.

The trail does climb steady
but not at a hard rate.
The tough part is the obsticles.
Logs that are great.

Some have been cut
to clear off the trail.
Others are new falls
and haven't been worked out so well.

As you are traveling,
take note to your left.
You should see two cut logs
Eye level, so be deft.

Continue onward
until you come apon
Two Large Logs that cross over
the trail that your on.

Now just beyond this hurtle
you will need to get by.
Is an older log just lying
You will notice it, just try.

It paralles the trail
and is about the only one you'll meet.
If you stand at it midpoint
A fern will be at your feet.

Now turn back towards the way
that you just come from.
And look to your right side
and down some.

You should see a rootball
that is being reclaimed
by the fona and flora
and others that aren't named.

At the base of this rootball
on the trail side you'll see.
A small little nook
just waiting for thee.

The prize is here with debris.
placed on top to conceal.
You'll find it I'm 98 3/4 percent sure.
For Real!

Oh! the Places You'll Go!

As is the way of hikes in this country,
You can stop here or travel still yonder.
If you don't travel on,
You will miss some of the wonder.

You may be asking yourself,
Does this one have a clue?
If you don't come and find out
You may not know what to do.

"Oh, the Places You'll Go!" Letterbox 7
Graham Creek Trail, Coeur d'Alene River Road, Deceitful Gulch east of Steam Boat

Now for these Clues!
to get you to the prize
you greatly deserve for using your head,
your feet and your eyes.

After decoding the area you need to go to
Park your vehicle in the vehicle place.
You may have to adapt
if campers occupy this space.

But there are other choices
to park your car near by.
Even on the side of the road?
You could give that a try?

From the camping area
find the trail to the northeast.
It is kind of obscure.
Finding it could be a beast.

The road might be the best
way for you to chose.
It is a short hop to the trailhead
so you can't lose.

No matter your choice here
One thing is clear.
Stay away from the creek bridge.
It's damage is severe.

At the Trailhead and it's signs
You will just have to climb.
The first part is steep.
Hey, don't call me a creep!

Really it's not too steep.
But it's direction is upward.
Travel passed the first switch
and onward is prefered.

You will have a direction change.
You'll now be traveling westerly.
This is a beautiful place
but I won't say it's the besterly.

Now here it gets tricky
you may have to count.
Take 200 steps from the direction change.
Yes that's the amount.

200 steps! From the direction change.
200 steps to fir tree on the right.
200 steps! Yep
Groove! Out of Sight!

At your 200th step
I am hoping you'll see
to the right of the trail
A large fir tree.

13 steps! 13 steps
from this first of three trees.
You will need them to help you
find the prize with ease.

Oh, the places You'll Stop!
There is a fir tree to the right here.
Count 9 steps up the trail
with no fear.

Yes! 9 steps! 9 steps!
Step lively my friend.
From the second fir tree on the right.
Your almost to the end!

Oh, the places You'll Stop!
There is a fir tree to the right here.
Count 30 more steps up the trail
with no fear.

30 more steps! Yes, 30 steps more
you should take.
From the third fir tree on the right
30 steps you should take.

Oh, the places You'll Stop!

On the right side of the trail
you should see a group of birch tree.
A Trident of three large with a couple small besides.
The prize is hidden at the base, you will see.

You may be asking yourself,
Does this one have a clue?
If you don't come and find out
You may not know what to do.

Oh! the Places You'll Go!

As is the way of hikes in this country,
You can stop here or travel still yonder.
If you don't travel on,
You will miss some of the wonder.

"Oh, the Places You'll Go!" Letterbox 8
Blossom/Pear Lake Trailhead, Thompson Pass Idaho/Montana Border, Pritchard Creek Rd approx. 9 miles east of Murray, Idaho

Congratulations! Again!
Today is your day.
You're off to a Great Place!
You're off and away!

Park your car in the area
and plan to spend more than an hour.
Find the trailhead to two lakes
One named for a fruit and one for it's flower.

Hike along the risen trail.
Enjoy the whole place.
You will be happy to see
all the beauty you'll face.

Continue along this trail
your heading will change.
Stay to the right at a choice.
Do not think this is strange.

You will come to a switchback
it is lined with some rocks.
Continue your climb
Keep you feet in your socks.

After some time you will find
as you go on your way
another switchback.
At this one you will want to stay.

At the middle of the switch
look towards the ditch.
You should see a large boulder.
It is the prize holder.

At it's base you should see
a few rock piled together.
Under these stones
is the letterbox treasure.

You'll find it! You will!
I have absolutely no doubt.
Please enjoy the hike to here.
But farther on is what this trail is about.

Take note of this treasure.
Take care as you use it.
It holds the second part of a clue.
For the next hike you'll use it.

***********************************************
Oh! The Places You'll Go! #9
This box contains the last stamps.
Revett Lake Trailhead, Thompson Pass Idaho/Montana Border, Pritchard Creek Rd approx. 9 miles east of Murray, Idaho

Oh Yes! Now for the Clues
to get you to the prize
you greatly deserve for using your head,
your feet and your eyes.

You have been here before
whether you know it or not
This is a great place
that will not soon be forgot.

There is a huge difference
this time around.
You will start in a familiar place
But you'll cover new ground.

The push is for Revett.
Not Blossum or Pear.
You'll travel a new path
if you wish to reach there.

From the parking place you could walk
or using your car may be best.
The trailhead is at the end
of the forest road to the west.

It is a little over a mile (1.3)
from the pavement to the trail.
There is a wide place to park.
I am sure you will not fail.

Now start along the trail
And make your way with delight
a little under a mile (0.8), you'll see
a large gray boulder on the trail to the right.

Continue on the trail
you'll go along nicely.
You'll pass over some talus slopes.
You'll pass over 5 little creeks, precisely.

A little bit farther now,
A little under a mile (0.7)
You'll see another gray boulder
to the right, almost there! Smile!

You're doing it!
You're going. To a place that's worth knowing.
Oh! the places you've been!
Oh! the place you are going!

You'll gain the lake now.
In a little amount of time.
You'll be at the south end.
The view is so prime!

There is a large boulder here too.
At this end of the lake.
Now look to the west.
There's a place you must make.

Across the lake from the large rock
at bearing 246 degrees magnetic
Do you see the gray rocks?
To reach them is kind of a trick.

But reach there you must.
But don't try to swim.
There is a many forked trail,
so choose at your whim.

The closer you get
to the gray rocks on this west side.
The more narrow the trail,
the more tricky the hide.

Gain the rocks and you'll see
That there is a standing place.
In between actually two,
You'll stand with just enough space.

Face the lake! Face the lake!
Enjoy this great view!
Turn around and look down.
The letterbox is behind you.

No need to go farther.
Just stay on this ground
Under the hillside, in a perfect hidey hole.
Your prize will be found.

The fir tree branch covers
the hide perfectly.
Two smaller rocks are placed
for more concealment, you'll see

You'll find it! You will!
I have absolutely no doubt.
Please enjoy the hike to here.
The place is what this hide is about.

Don't worry about this hike.
You've already done worse.
If Silent Partner, Snakeboy and myself can do it, you can too.
We are certainly not more brainyer or footsyer than you!
