The Ingalls Family decided the hotel business wasn't for them. After a short time, they decided to move back to Walnut Grove from Burr Oak, IA.

The trip was an eventful one, and we hope you enjoy our little (historically inacurate) tale.

This is 1 of a 5 stamp series that is scattered among the lower counties of Minnesota.

=====

Days were spent in packing up the belongings of the Ingalls family. Burr Oak was a nice little town, but the restaurant business just wasn't working for them. Feeding 20 - 30 guests per meal, cleaning up after them just to start the next meal.

The wagon was all loaded up and ready to go. They travelled north to the land of lakes, just crossing the boarder their wagon came to a STOP -- the axel broke.

With a team of horses they were able to drag the wagon just a tad east and into the gates of Prosper Cemetery.

The kids ran around the old weathered stones as Pa got to fixin' the axle of the wagon at the east end of the lot at the base of a smallish pine tree.
