Oy, har har, and swab the poop deck, or you'll be sent down the scuppers!

Here, intrepid hunters may find me ring.....(remainder deleted)

I came upon this treasure map for a ring supposedly belonging to the fictional character, "Long John Silver." I followed it, and sure enough, found a cheap ring. To share the joy of finding with others, I replaced the ring (which I sold) with a knickknack, to which I give the following (rather more comprehensible) clues (the original map was difficult to decipher).

You'll want to keep pets leashed when walking; and avoid taking pets on the walk during peak hours (beginning and end of work).

For those who are disabled; this entire hike can be done by car, but I do recommend the walk, if for no other reason than the occasional wildlife sighting and the fresh air. However, if you use the car, instead, this is a driveby.

This box is also bus friendly; it starts at a major bus stop.

Starting at Medical Lake Transit Station (the stop with the shelter on Lake Street, near the Owl Pharmacy), travel East on E Lake St., past the Middle School (don't mind the asbestos [I kid you not]), until you reach Freeman. Turn right onto Freeman, and take your first left into the public launch area. (For your 'aha,' go to the edge of the lake, i think it's really pretty. Wading birds, turtles, and so on. I can stand and look at it for hours.)

The box is in the detritus underneath the first large tree widdershins from the entrance (if you were facing the ground). You should be able to get the box without leaving the graveled area (though you might step on a few old pine needles). Please leave the area as undisturbed as possible. If you use your car to block the view of people at the boat launch, this should be fairly discreet.

If you wish to rent a boat, go back to the start of Freeman, continue E on Lake St (which is now labeled "Medical Lake - Four Lakes Rd"), until you reach Ruby's, where they have swimming, camping (for a fee), and boat rentals (for a fairly reasonable fee, I think $12 a day, or something), amongst other things.

Oh, one mistake in the box; Blackbeard (Edward Teach) wasn't a fictional character; the facts in the box refer to Long John Silver, who was fictional. Duh. I'm afraid I was experiencing brain failure.
