We planted this box while looking for the Lt. Core Memorial boxes. These are all in the Farmington Memorial Forest. The forest entrance is on Red Oak Hill Rd. close to and west of the intersection with New Britain Ave. The trail is on the south side of the road. There is parking there for one car at best and it’s a busy road so be careful.
Bring bug spray.
Follow the signs to the Lt. Core Memorial until you get to a Y. The memorial is right, you want to go left. Continue on this trail, ignoring a trail on the right, until you get to an T intersections with houses straight ahead. The main trail goes right but you want to go left. Stop at the tree with the sign (not the one right at the intersection) and check under the big rock.
