LETTERBOXING CLUES IN MANTORVILLE TO WASIOJA
JUNE 2008

Clues
Difficulty - Easy

To begin start at the bridge in Historic Mantorville on Hwy 57. Notice the great waterfalls and the beautiful Park area.

As you drive north on Hwy 57 to Cty Rd 16 about 1 1/2 miles, check out all the Historic buildings you’ll pass by. There is the famous Hubbell House, but don't pass up a chance to stop at the Chocolate Shoppee for ice cream and chocolates!!
There are many other shops to explore also !
Notice the beautiful Dodge County Courthouse up the hill on the right.(oldest working Courthouse in Mn).

Turn left onto Cty Rd 16 going West about 3 miles to Wasioja
Enjoy the serene farms and fields along the way
You may hear the cows mooing as you pass by !
Look for a two stall blueish storage building on the left side of the road.

After the blue building, take a quick left onto a gravel road (212 Ave)
Continue to the end of the road where there is a brick building.

Drive to the building, and take a few minutes to read the history of the area on the Plaque there.
Now the real fun begins……….

Go around to the left side of the fence that surrounds the building and follow the trail.
It will bend to the left and then sharp bend to the right.
Look for a tree that has fallen over the trail.
Stand by the tree with your back to the way you’ve come from
Turn to the right and you’ll see 2 very tall stately trees next to each other.
Continue straight ahead to the fallen log on the ground
Look for a hollow tree stump at the right end of the fallen log.

Look inside the tree stump for a blue topped container. You need to remove the white cap on the top of the container, just remember to replace the white cap to keep contents dry !

Congratulations !!!!
You have found the KM Group letterbox.
Hope you had fun...
maybe now return to Mantorville for that treat !!
