Driving west on Rt. 6 into Plymouth, turn left at the blinking light onto Todd Hollow Rd. Drive 1.6 miles and ahead of you will be a sign for Hancock Brook Lake. This gate was open today but if it's closed it will add another 0.2 miles to the walk to the box, or you can drive to the next gate.

Some good climbs on an hour round trip hike.
From the gate walk along the road watching for the blue trail to turn left and go uphill, this is just after a neat little waterfall on the left. From this point follow only blue blazes. You'll cross the stream a few times and come to a spot where you need to scale a rock face right on the trail. After the climb watch for a three sister tree on the left with a blue blaze on it. Behind this is a large rock with a tree in front. Look at base of tree. Recover with natural debris.

Continue on blue which will be flat for a bit, turn left and go uphill over lots of ledge. At the top cross a small clearing on rocky ledge and start a series of ups and downs finally coming to the steepest down followed by a steep ledgey up. At the top, stand on a small ledge (just before a slight downhill) on the trail and look over your right shoulder. Follow a ledge, walk for 13 steps and look under the pointed end of a flat on the ground rock. Cover with natural debris.
