Use the clues from the up down left right A B start select letterbox. When you are at that letterbox, find yourself with your back to the octopus tree. Look straight across to the other side of the creek where you were originally. You will see a path leading off to the right. Cross the creek and take this path. Follow the path as is winds through the woods. When you see a tree with a perch to the right along side of the trail, you know you are getting close. At about 90 paces from this tree, you will see a tangled mess on your left. This twisted tree has more than 15 arms and lies about 3 to 4 steps off to the left side of the trail. Proceed 7 steps around to the back of the tree. The letterbox is wedged in the middle of several armpits. Enjoy the extra gift for the first finder. Please replace the rocks carefully so that the box is unseen from all sides.

Alternative Clues (If you are interested in seeing more of the park):
Find yourself at the intersection of North Lamar and Braker Lane. From here, go north on Lamar until you see a sign for Walnut Creek on your left. Follow the road into the park and park in the first parking lot on the left. Look for a sign that notes "No leash beyond this point." It is located to the right of the playground and a paved sidewalk. Take the rocky path next to the sign. This path will branch into four different directions. Take the one on the very left. Continue down the path. You will soon see a path that veers off to the left next to a sign reading "Pool lot trail." Take this path. It cuts through the middle of the park. Half way down the path, there is a triangle junction. Continue on straight ahead or to the right. The path will spit you out onto the service road trail. When you see this sign, go right on the trail. You will continue down the trail passing two small paths to the left. Keep on until you reach a fork. At this fork, you will choose left. Walk until you come to the last fork where you will also choose to go left. This path curves around to the right. On this path you will come up upon 2 consecutive little hills. After the second hill, you will proceed about 60 paces and on your right will be a tangled mess. This twisted tree has more than 15 arms and lies about 3 to 4 steps off to the right side of the trail. Proceed 7 steps around to the back of the tree. The letterbox is wedged in the middle of several armpits. Enjoy the extra gift for the first finder. Please replace the rocks carefully so that the box is unseen from all sides.
