From Historic dowtown Chelan, take the 150 West toward Manson. Turn right at Boyd Rd toward the mountains. (it is approx a 20-25 minute drive from this point) follow the signs to Echo Ridge Trails. On the winding road you will pass a sign saying " Echo Ridge Trails, Wenatchee National Forest", continuing on you will pass Back Country B & B and towards the end of the paved road you will pass some cabins. When you get to the end of the paved road you will see a sign that says "Echo Ridge", follow the gravel road approx 2 miles to the 'Lower Echo Ridge Trailhead", there is plenty of parking and a restroom here. Park Here.
When you get out of your car look for a notice board that has the trailmap on it. Directly behind the notice board to the right find a trail marker sign and follow the direction (staying right) to the "Tootsy Roll" trail. This trail leading to the Tootsy Roll trailhead is wide and curves to the right back towards the restrooms. Stay on this wide trail winding up 0.25 miles or less until you get your FIRST view of Lake Chelan- STOP and enjoy that view!
The trail then turns a pretty sharp left and IMMEDIATELY you notice 2 pine trees, one on each side of the trail directly across from each other. Your treasure is "Snug as a Bug" behind the tree on the mountain side (or left side) of the trail. Please rehide as well or better than you found it. Out of view of of passers-by. At this point you can continue on to the Tootsy Roll trail or turn back.
