Clues

Sycamore Canyon Park, 22930 Golden Springs Drive, Diamond Bar

Park at the end of the lot, cross the wooden bridge and go left on the paved path. Just before you enter the trail, check out the big crazy tree on the left. It looks cool, but that's not where the box is.

#1 - A Diamond In The Rough:
Alive and well as of 7/25/10

Follow the trail until just before the first fork. Climb over the fence on the left to a fallen tree. The box is buried deep in leaves and bark under the sawed-off Y.

If you wish to just take a stroll, the platform ahead gives a nice view of the creek. If you wish to take a hike, continue on.

#2 - A Diamond In The Sky:
Alive and well as of 7/25/10

Go right at the fork and climb the hill. At the top by the block wall, take a sharp right up the steeper hill. At the top amidst the cacti, the trail becomes a short loop. If you go right, it is a little shorter, but if you go left it is mostly shaded by a grove of pepper trees.

When you reach the sharp turn at the other end of the loop, stop at the first tree on the left (if you went left) or the last tree on the right (if you went right). It is a multi-trunk tree just down the slope, and the box is under leaves below the horizontal trunk.

When you're finished, make sure the logbook is sealed in a bag and then tucked in a U into the container. Place the stamp in the middle, close the lid and place the container in the second bag.
