Enter the town of Winterset on Hwy 169 and proceed to the old town square section of town (around the courthouse). On the north side of the town square block, you'll see the Madison County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Center. Go into the Visitor's Center and get yourself a map of the Madison County covered bridges. The staff there are a wealth of local knowledge. If you're planning on letterboxing after hours, you'll want to go to www.madisoncounty.com for a map of the county with bridge locations and interesting historical facts.
Either way, you MUST have a map of the Madison County bridges to find your way to each bridge on this series of boxes.

Bridge #2: Roseman

Using your map, find your way to the Roseman bridge several miles west and south of Winterset. Park and walk down to the bridge. Crossing over the bridge, stop when you get to the white walls on either side just before you exit the other end. Look behind the white wall on your left. The box is placed on a ledge about 4.5 feet high (eye-level for short people like me!). Congratulations!

NOTE! I received a message from a letterboxer that this box had to be relocated, because it would not sit in the original hiding spot. Here is what the letterboxer told me...
It is now sitting behind the white wall at roughly the same height, but is on the bracing that's behind the wall. It's tucked up right in the corner where the wall begins inside the bridge, on that same side. It is out of sight unless you put your hand behind the wall, or stick your head back there.

I welcome feedback to let me know it is safe in its new hiding place. And thanks to "Maude" for the help!
