My daughter learned how to Letterbox in Horse Camp this year. She's eight. And she's been very keen on it since then. She was thrilled to find out there were other letterboxes hidden around Ukiah (of course, Mom has to do all the driving) and wanted to hide her own. This is her first official Letterbox outside of camp.
Take Perkins St. East, follow the road as it curves left, past the road that takes you to Jack London's favorite Hot Spot, past El Dorado Estates and Deerwood Park, past some beautiful vineyards. As the road nears its end, you'll see a row of mailboxes to your right (There'll be a For Sale sign on the property right behind it). There is a ditch beneath (and slightly behind) the mailboxes with a culvert. The letterbox is hidden just inside this culvert. If you end up in the cul-de-sac at the end of the road, you've gone too far.
