Sunscreen is located in one of my favorite NH spots. Dugway is a small picnic area many stairs above the Swift River located along the eastern side of the famous Kancamagus Highway. The box may be reached either from Covered Bridge Campground or by Westside Rd. in Conway. From North Conway, turn onto Westside Rd. heading south. Just before reaching Conway turn right onto Passaconaway Rd. follow for 3.3 miles to Dugway picnic area. Turn in and park, preferably on the immediate left. Look to the left-for a stone floor approximately 20'X 20' -there used to be a picnic pavilion there. Walk to the far corner on the river side (facing the outhouse) Looking toward the river, spot a giant 2 sister pine with a smaller hemlock in front. Walk to it approximately 10 paces. Walk around to the side you cannot see from the pavilion. There is another small hemlock on this side. Reach overhead into the crook of the 2 sisters and you will find your prize. Please replaace carefully. Take a walk to the Swift river, a great place to find smooth pieces of granite or cool off.
