This was a surprise to me. Thanks to The Lighthouse Crew

Our little hero has committed some grave faux pas, besmirching his reputation and his credibility. Now he has heard that there may be some trouble afoot at his camp near Potawatomi Woods. Let’s run up there, find him and see if we can help him become a champion!
Find the entrance to the preserve just north of Kirkland, IL on a street of similar name. Follow the gravel road until you see the first road on left. Take this road until it ends at a bridge with a small parking area. Cross the bridge and enter the KFaG area. Walk for quite a ways until you pass a spur road on the left with gates at a train crossing. Continue on ahead, passing an old scout building on the right. Next you’ll see a short road on the right leading to another scout building. Continue ahead again, watching for an 8-trunked tree off the road on the right. [If you get to another scout building, you have gone too far! If so, stand at the “Authorized Vehicles” sign and head back the way you came for ~40 steps to find the tree.] The plucky chicken is performing in the center of the octo-tree stage. Things must have gone OK.
As this box is a long ways away from support, updates are appreciated.
