This box was placed by Brownie Troop 62127 of Durham and Middlefield. This is our first Troop box. We hope you have as much fun finding it as we did placing it.
This box is located on the Trolley Trails at the back of Peckham Park in Middlefield. From rt.66 take Baileyville Rd. (across from Guida's). Follow until the end. Take a left onto Main St. in Middlefield. At first stop sign take a right onto Strickland St. Enter Peckham Park on your right. Park in the small lot by the basketball court. Take the walking path to the weed filled batting cages and look for the Trolley Trail signs. Start following the Trolley Trail.
Go past the graveyard of cages and go left at the fork in the trail.
After the 3rd bridge take approximately 225 Brownie steps and look for the very large fallen trees on either side of the trail. On the right side look for the place where the trunk comes out of the ground and the large fallen branches arch and make a “cave”. At the base is the box hidden in a hole in the trunk. Please hide it back well.
