This series of stamps was planted by Girl Scout Troop 317. They are our first letterboxing plant attempt, and we enjoyed making a progressive hunt out of all 8 stamps. They are placed in Kensington Park, located in the Kensington Estates neighborhood off of Swisher Road in Corinth.

“BFFL” stamp

When you reach the entrance to the park on Sussex, take the paved path to the playground. Slide down the slide, if that’s your thing, and try the moving monkey bar rings. After a bit of fun, you’ll want to continue down the path, which is no longer paved. You’ll see a locked gate ahead and have to get right up to it before you figure out how to get around it! Once inside the gate, follow the narrow path until it splits. Take the left path and enter the treeline. Walk until you see the trail marker “H29”. Turn left and enter the brush. You will see a fallen tree on your left. You will find “BFFL” at the base of the log covered with twigs and leaves.

“Abigale” stamp

Replace the “BFFL” stamp and please cover with twigs and leaves. Now, head back to the trail. You are going to pass a stump right in the middle of the trail. Turn to your right and you will see two fallen logs. Check out their base to find the little dragonfly “Abigale”!

“Bearfoot”

Replace and hide “Abigale”. Now go back to the trail and continue your walk. You will come to a small valley in the terrain. Turn left into the valley and stop at the first large tree on your left. Your treasure is under a rock and small log at the base.

“Best Friends Holding Hands”

Please replace “Bearfoot” and cover with the rock and small log. Return to the trail and continue six paces. Turn left and you will see a large cluster of trees. The “Best Friends” are hiding in the roots!

“Beach Queen”

Make sure that the “Best Friends are Holding Hands” within their rooty cover again. Turn back to the trail and go straight across it into the valley on the right side of the trail about twenty paces. On the left side you will see two big trees. The “Beach Queen” reigns within their protective roots.

"Swirl Power"

Put Beach Queen back on her throne and return to the main trail. Counting 46 paces, continue walking up the trail as it goes up the incline. Up ahead you will see a very large clearing. Before you reach that, you will see a cluster of four trees in a very tight bunch on the left side of the trail. At the base of the trunks, there is a small hollow. Swirl Power is there to greet you, resting under a bed of dried grass.

****The following two boxes fell victim to the price of progress... The future site of the expansion of road 2499 demolished these last three letterboxes and the entire trail they were once on. We hope to modify and add two more boxes to the end of this series in the fall of 2008. Please check back with us as we will update as we place the new boxes. In the meantime, please enjoy finding our other 6 boxes and the beautiful trail salvaged despite road expansion!****

“Flower Power” MISSING

“Fanciful Fliers” MISSING

Continue down the path to see the horse trail, or turn back and have fun exploring the dry creekbed. Either way, this is the end of our stamping trail! Be sure to stop at Kensington Park on your way out and climb the big yellow thing so you can review your stamps at the top in privacy. We can’t wait to see our newly stamped logs and hope you enjoyed finding our stamps as much as we enjoyed hiding them!
