On Route 60/83 near Midlothian Road, there is a vacant building that used to be Quig's. Across the street is a subdivision pocket park.
Enter the subdivision off of 60/83 onto Wingate Dr. Turn left on Stonebridge. Turn right on Scott St. and left on Waverly Dr. The park entrance will be on the left side of the road - there is no dedicated parking, you will have to park on the road.
A path wraps around the pond. Walk the path until you come to a bench where you sit with your back to Quig's. While sitting on the bench, look down to the right of the bench - there is a stump in front of some evergreen shrubbery. Directly behind the stump, secured by the roots of the shrubbery, you will find the Portland Beaver.
Any ink color will work - but beavers are usually brown.
Although the letterbox was placed by Portlanders, it has a surrogate parent. Please let us know the status of the box, so we can let them know if it needs attention.
