The Seeley Lake area is a popular area for fishing, boating and camping for both residents and visitors. This is one of our favorite places. These boxes were placed with one of my favorite letter boxing partners, my son visiting from West Virginia.
Box 1 = North of Seely is Larch campground go to the Water play area, from the stairs to the water follow the retaining wall to the west to the two stumps at the end of the wall. Facing Northwest follow the trail for 16 paces, on the right you will see a group of twisting trees. at the base of these trees is an old stump, guess what is under this stump?
Box 2= Following Hwy 87 near Salmon Lake is a wildlife viewing area, approximately between mile markers 8 & 9,
in this pull-out you can read the information sign about Loons. Behind this sign are several large rocks, standing looking down the hill you will see the rock of choice in the bushes to your right.
