This box is replacing the "Golden Fawn" box previously located at Ashley Reservoir

This box is located in the Mt.Tom State Reservation area. Enter the res. via Route 5 in Holyoke, the sign is across the street from the Ski and Bike shop on rt.5.
Park at the warming hut parking area and start walking back towards the main entrance on the paved road. After the warming shed, take a right and follow the wooden fence along the road until the fence ends. You will pass the picnic area on your right. When you get to the end of the fence, there will be a trail on your right. There is a sign marking it. Enter this trail and follow it for a few minutes, until you see a small path off to your left, which heads uphill. Head towards the large tree with the small yellow marker on it, this tree should be visible from the trail. There is a big rock at it's base. Stand at this tree, with your back to the water. To your left and a bit diagonaly, will be a large three trunk tree. Look closely as it is joined at it's base. The box is in the base of the three trunked tree, covered with leaves, sticks and slate rocks. There is a small prize for the first finder. Please rehide with the slate. There is one short, steep hill, which may be difficult for very young children.
