As you search for this letterbox, you'll see some great parts of Nashville that aren't on the typical tourist route. You'll drive through a lively neighborhood of shops, restaurants and houses known as 12South and end up in Sevier Park, a full city block of green grass, big old trees, playgrounds and walking trails with a pretty antebellum house in the center.

Here's how to get there:
--From I-65, take the Wedgwood/Fairgrounds Exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp, head West (away from the fairgrounds).
--Almost immediately, you'll come to a traffic light at the intersection of 8th Ave. and Wedgwood. Stay on Wedgwood and continue until the next major traffic light at 12th Ave. Turn left onto 12th Ave. (which is also called Granny White Pike).
--Continue on 12th for three quarters of a mile or so until you come to a traffic light at Kirkwood and 12th.
--Ahead on your left, you'll see Sevier Park. This is your destination, but stay on 12th for one more block. Then turn left and look for the parking lot about halfway down the block on your left.

**************

--Once you've parked your car, walk to, but not across, the stone bridge.
--Now walk along the creek bank until you come to a place where a large culvert runs under 12th Ave. and empties into the creek.
--Don't cross any water. Instead, find a large stump on the bank, near where the water from the culvert joins the creek.
--Carefully stoop down and look on the creek side of this stump. Remove the rock that conceals an opening in the stump. Reach inside, and there's the letterbox!
