To get into Afton State Park there is a $5 fee for a daily pass or you can get a $25 yearly state park pass. After you get your pass, follow the road until it ends. Park here. Take the trail at the end of the parking lot. When you get to the intersection, stay to the right which goes to the lower picnic area. There will be a fork in the road - the swimming area is to the right and the restrooms are to the left. Go to the left. There are both boy and girl bathrooms here. About 20 paces before you get to the girls bathroom, look to the left (west). You will see a hill and some trees. Walk about 60 paces towards the hill. You will see a hole in the hill in front of you. There are many wild flowers and wild raspberries growing so be careful not to get scratched. The first birch tree on your left that is inside of the hole has the box hidden behind some wood at it's base facing the hill. Please re-hide well so those on the upper trail don't see it. Thanks!
