Gay City State Park
Route 85
Hebron, CT.

I was first introduced to kissing trees while searching for letterboxes. I now look for them whenever I'm in the woods.

Park at beach parking area. Walk left with the water on your right until you come to the Mill Site sign. Go left walking over a dike until you get to the mill ruins. Just before the ruins, go right to the lower trail, pass the mill, cross the bridge and come to an intersection with a blue blazed tree and a larger bridge. Cross this bridge, following blue, past yellow and look for a stonewall perpendicular to the trail. About 50 feet along the wall is the Kissing Tree. Look on the ground behind their offspring. (not in the wall)

Make sure it's out of sight before returning the way you came.
