To start with you should make sure you have bug spray and be ready to get wet if necessary. The best time to go is in July or August when the creek is dried up.

Start on the West Mankato Trail on Moreland Ave.
Go South and cross the gravel road.
You are now on the Red Jacket Trail.
Keep going south (about 8-900 feet)until you see a small dirt trail on your left leading down to the creek bed.
Go down the three stone steps and go to the wooden bench.
Go to the south end of the bench and walk 2 or 3 steps away from the bench (east).
Face the creek and go down into the creek bed.
Heading north take 30-32 steps.
You should be by a dead tree on the bank to your right.
Half the tree has tipped over across the creek, the other half is still standing.
Take a step up the bank facing the tree and look far into the hole in the tree trunk.
Look hard, the box is in there pretty deep.

I have had a few people email me saying that my letterbox is missing. I will go check, and replace it as soon as possible. Sorry.
