**10/4/09 Box is out for repairs. Hopefully will be back in action in a week or so.**

See the first three paragraphs of the clues to our “Bradley Hall” letterbox for background information on Bradley University, directions to the school, and parking instructions.

Bradley students like to joke about the abundance of squirrels on campus and their lack of fear of people. A campaign was launched to make the squirrel the official mascot of Bradley -- this never did work out, but our box features a Bradley squirrel nonetheless!

The search for this box begins at the visitors’ parking lot. After parking, walk to the sidewalk to the north of the parking lot, and follow it toward campus. You will come to a large intersection; cross to the corner with a bench.

Head toward the newspaper machines, and turn left down the passageway by the yellow pole. When you emerge, pass by the peeling tree and go straight past the emergency phone. Turn right at the first path, and then turn left on the small stone path.

Have a seat in the center of the bench to your left, and turn around. Reach into the bush, push the branches aside, and you should see your prize hanging from a branch. Please be gentle; the branches need to spring back when you are finished to shield the box from prying eyes. The container is a screw-top specimen vial we “borrowed” from the Olin Hall ecology lab where one of us works.

Please rehide well and be sure to hang the box securely. Make sure it isn’t too loose on the branch, or it may fall off. When you are finished, please step back and make sure the container is not easily visible through any gaps in the bushes.

Please bring your own ink.
