Heading north on 5th street and passing the cemetery, turn right on Humbolt St. Park across the street from Daivs Field next to the ISU daycare playground.
Box #1-The "I"
Cross the street towards Davis Field and continue up the sidewalk till you reach the "Red Hill" trail. Follow the trail to the right, passing the stone table top and up the wooden steps. Continue to the right looking for the alumni plaque, across from this plaque you will find a mini oasis. Inside this oasis between the larger of the two rocks, under a pile of smaller rocks you will find your "I".
*GRR! How frustrating! I was informed by a friend that this letterbox was not in place. I went and checked for myself because I had just planted it, and sure enough it is gone. So until I can get another stamp made there is only the one letterbox. Sorry Folks! *
Box #2-The Columns
Cross the street towards Davis Field and continue up the sidewalk till you reach the "Red Hill" trail. Follow the trail to the right, passing the stone table top. Once to the top of the wooden steps, turn left on the trail and follow to the back side of the mountain. When you reach the "Y" in the trail, continue left and up! When your legs feel as if you can go no further, and it appears to be the summit, head north towards the columns. At the NE corner of the stone steps, find the lone tree. At its base is a small pile of rocks hiding this letterbox!
