Trail is Wheel Chair accessible and so is the letterbox except the last 14 steps.

You search starts by going through the portal at the end of the Day Use Area at Aspen Campground. There is a $4 per day fee for parking in this area. We were camped at the Lake of the Woods RV Park, so to circumvent the parking fee by taking our boat to the shore near the parking lot. You can land a Kayak or small outboard very easily next to the swim area.
From the portal head toward Fish Lake along the High Lakes Trail. After the second span count 10 steps from the NW corner (right corner) to a Mama, Daddy and two baby tree group. Stop and then turn right and face 5 degrees. Take 14 steps to a tree with a visible cavity at the base. Carefully remove the outer pieces of wood and you will find the three that have been paddling across Lake of the Woods and up this little creek.

Note: the distance from the first span to the second is about 3 times the distance from the portal to the first span.
It is a fairly large stamp.

When researching our clues please be aware that when previous searchers list “ATTEMPTED” on the clue sheets it may reflect more on their abilities as finders than indicate whether the box is viable or not. We do monitor our clues and boxes pretty well and appreciate the notes written to us by those that find or attempt our letterboxes.
