This site is known as Heritage Park. It's the site of the only revolutionary battle fought in Rhode Island. From Rt. 114, turn right onto Hedley Street, take the second left (immediately past the transfer station) into the Portsmouth Business Park. Take the first left into the Heritage Park parking lot. Park facing the stone wall. Walk up the asphalt path and then from the end of that go onto the gravel path and follow to the end. Look for a large field and historical marker sign on the left side of the entrance. Go to the sign. The first tree in the left past the sign has a pile of rocks at its base. The box is under the rocks.
