Maintenance Note: As of May 25, 2012, the box is back in The Reading Garden with a new log book + new container. Unfortunately the last log book became soaked when the box lid cracked and many pages with log in stamps and signatures did not survive getting wet. :( Please replace the rocks carefully. Thank you. (This box was unavailable from 3/10-5/25/2012.)
Maintenance Note: Stamp repaired and placed in new box and put back in the Reading Garden as of August 7, 2010.

This box was planted by MAHiker on 9/27/2008 and adopted by Leilani's Aunt on March 19, 2010.

The clues as written by MAHiker:
This letterbox is found in the Reading Garden maintained by the Friends of the North Haven Library. It is my first really hand-carved stamp. I hope you like it! There is also a "first finder's certificate" in the box, please take it if you are first!

Please bring a green ink pad - there was not room for an ink pad in the box. thanks!

The North Haven Public Library is found on Elm Street in North Haven, near the intersection with Broadway. The Reading Garden is open whenever the library is open. The hours change throughout the year, so check out http://www.leaplibraries.org/nhaven/ for the latest hours.

The Reading Garden is an outdoor garden but is fenced with a gate that locks. If you arrive and find the gate locked but the library open, just ask at the front desk for the garden to be open. It probably won't be unlocked on bad weather days and may not be open too much in the winter, but just ask and they will unlock it.

The Reading Garden is a lovely place to relax and read on a nice day. Bring a good book when you visit so you can take advantage of this peaceful spot!

Clues
Go into the main entrance of the library but do not go either up or down the stairs. Just continue to walk straight through, passing through two sets of double doors. Before the arch, turn left and enter the Reading Garden. Just after the first bench on the left, you will see the Jack Viele memorial tree. Jack was a classmate of my older son. Jack died of cancer at 10 years old. There are many trees around town planted in memory of Jack. Diagonally behind the tree, up against the building you will find the Reading Garden letterbox planted under 4 rocks. Please remember to cover it up well after logging in.

Please remember to log in that you have found this letterbox on this site (and also atlasquest.com). Thank you!
