Parking: as you near the end of the CG there is room to park along the road.

At Suttle Lake start at the West end of the South Shore Campground where at the end of the asphalt the posts go around in a circle.
Find the lake trail on your right and head West. Walk between parallel lines and when you come to stone steps going down and then to long rows of wood retaining logs (steps to the water) continue 20 steps to an odd tree on trail left. It is a conjoined twin with stubby, gnarly branches about 8 ft up, then a space and then regular branches way up.
Uphill and 4 steps away from this tree is a partially charred tree leaning to the left with a small bush hiding the letterbox just behind the leaning tree.
If you get to Link Creek CG you have gone too far.

When researching our clues please be aware that when previous searchers list “ATTEMPTED” on the clue sheets it may reflect more on their abilities as finders than indicate whether the box is viable or not. We do monitor our clues and boxes pretty well and appreciate the notes written to us by those that find or attempt our letterboxes.
