While spending a little Lake time I finally figured out how to catch a few German Brown Trout. A leaded line, 8 ft mono leader, and a small F4 Flatfish silver trolled about 100 feet off of the North Shoreline was a winner.
Clues:
To locate this Lake just check a map and figure out the source of one of the tributaries of the Metolius. This tributary is pretty unique as it starts as one then splits into separate creeks before spilling into the Metolius.
From the Day use area pass the lodge, cross back over the bridge and turn right on the first path. Stop at the first stump on your left next to the trail and reach behind it. The letterbox is under some bark.
If you pass by the swimming Methodists you have gone too far.
Note: This trail is very busy on weekends and does require caution and stealth.
Note: If you are "Lamenting" about the location or need a "Subtle" hint as to "What might float your boat"...well this is the hint!
When researching our clues please be aware that when previous searchers list “ATTEMPTED” on the clue sheets it may reflect more on their abilities as finders than indicate whether the box is viable or not. We do monitor our clues and boxes pretty well and appreciate the notes written to us by those that find or attempt our letterboxes.
